August Favourites

If you follow me on Twitter then you would know that I had taken a little break from blogging, only for a couple of weeks because I just haven't had the time or motivation to write anything but today I am back and feeling inspired!

I know it is later in the month but I can't get back into things without talking about my August favourites so lets get started.

My new car.

First of all I have to talk about the most exciting thing to happen in August. After passing my driving test over 2 years ago I FINALLY have myself a car!

I've never been able to afford a car myself so that's why it took me so long but with the help from my mum and dad I am so pleased to have my own little run around and independence.

It is a 2003 navy blue automatic Corsa and I love it! I did have a few problems with it in the first week but tbh that's expected for an old car.

If you'd like to hear my story about my driving lesson wxperience then you can check out my post all about it here.

I am sure just like myself, you are all candle lovers..especially now we are getting into Autumn where we can dig out all the cinnamon and pumpkin spice scents which I know you all love and rightly so! Nothing better than cold, dark nights with warm scented candles burning right?

I was browsing in B&M one day and came across these 2 wick scented candles by the brand Essence. There was a number of scents and I picked up Apple Cidar and Brown Sugar All Spice.

Already I have gone through my Apple Cidar candle and half finished the All Spice one. I can't get enough!

They both smell amazing, really potent which honestly I wasn't expecting since the price was so low, I was expecting something very poor quality in all honestly. They burn really well and don't leave loads of wax around the outter edges like some do and I haven't noticed any black smoke coming off the wick either.

For the price these are incredible and my house is now smelling sweet and ready for Autumn!

If you catched my Kylie Cosmetics Mini Matte Review then you would know I love the new shade Kylie has released called Kristen, named after her mum Kris.

I think this is the perfect transition colour going from Summer to Autumn, it isn't too light and isn't too dark either. Just a really pretty subtle pinkish red shade that suits so many different skin tones.

The formula is great, lasts a good amount of time with a lip blam underneath and I love the gold packaging which comes with all her birthday collection items.

Wet n Dry by Cala Hair Brush - £3.99

Now this isn't such an exciting favourite I admit but I had to include it because it is just so good!

For so long I have been wanting to get the Wet brush, I always hear great things but I just can't justify paying over £8 for a hair brush, then I came across this one in TK Maxx which looks identical.

The bristles are soft and flexible so it prevents damage to the hair, especially when you have wet hair. This detangles hair without making you want to cry (I'm sure we all remember those day when we were little!) and comes in a number of different colours too.

If like me you don't want to splurge on a good hair brush then I would 100% recommend heading to TK Maxx, they have tons of different ones by different brands which seem to look and do the same thing and most are under £5!

Fibre One Chocolate Fudge Brownie - £2.89

If you have a sweet tooth but are trying to watch the calories then these Fibre One bars are the ideal option for you!

I first heard about these from a previous colleague who does Slimming World, apparently these are very popular with members because they aren't THAT bad for you, only 90 calories in each square and low in fat but high in fibre.

They taste exactly like brownies with hints of fudge pieces in them! Sadly they aren't that big and tbh are abit expensive but still pack a punch with flavour and totally worth it! There is also a lemon drizzle flavour which again has so much flavour and tastes great.

You can get them in most supermarkets I believe, but they are so hard to get hold of! 90% of the time they are sold out, they are very popular and I can see why. Perfect daytime snack to throw in your bag on the go.

I hope you enjoyed last months favourites, I have really enjoyed my Summer but now I can't wait for Autumn to roll in! Let me know what your favourites of August have been..

Thanks for reading
