Look Incredible August Unboxing

It's that time again for my monthly review on the Look Incredible beauty box and sadly this will be my last review of this box. Maybe not forever but I personally don't find the box good value for money anymore & I will explain this abit more and I need to watch my pennies for a while too so I have unsubscribed from the service and this is the last month I will receive a box.

When I say I don't find the box value that great, I mean I don't think it is accurate. The prices Look Incredible put on their description card is retail prices, but most of the products are usually discontinued or highly reduced in price elsewhere so really the total value they give you isn't correct. I try my best to link all the products mentioned and I often find something is retailed for £25 but I am finding it online for £5 or something like that or I can't even find it all.

I am not saying Look Incredible is a bad box, far from it, for £21 you are still getting some nice products and brands but I find myself just chucking 90% of items I get in the drawer or passing them on..

I am currently holding a giveaway on my Twitter page and most beauty items in that have been previous Look Incredible beauty box items that I never use or ever will. If you are interested in entering my giveaway then just follow my twitter link and check out my pinned tweet on how to enter. ENDS 20TH AUGUST!

Enough of me being a negative nelly, let's get on to what was featured in this months box...

The first thing I noticed is by one of my favourite brands, the Ultra Shine Lip Shine Gloss by Benefit Cosmetics.

Years ago I used to be obsessed with these Benefit lip shines, I can't remember exactly what shade I used to get but it was pink toned and I would wear it everyday.

This gloss is a barbie pink colour with hints of shimmer throughout, very pretty but not something I would typically wear these days. It really does have high shine, giving your lips a very wet look and they usually last a good amount of time on me.

Next up is something I was very excited to discover. I love these Nars lip treatments! They are hydrating with vitamin E, polar berries and acai oil and also has SPF to help protect from the sun which I love, I always forget about the damage that can be done to the lips from the sun.

These give a nice sheer wash of colour, I got mine in the shade Paloma which is a peachy colour but on me it just looks like my lips but better.

Really comfortable to wear and the packaging is small so perfect to throw in your bag on the go.

bareMinerals do shadows so well and this is no exception, I am pleased that this pallet is featured this month. They are so buttery and pigmented, I love the colours in this little quad very bronzey and right up my alley.

Great quality that lasts hours and hours on the lids before fading and that's without a primer. Nice and compact, ideal for travelling.

Fusion Beauty has been included in Look Incredible before so I am pretty aware of what their products are like.

This is a brightening primer but wasn't what I was expecting. When I think of brightening/illuminating I think of something glowy but this formula was more of a matte mousse and purple. (this is supposed to colour correct.)

The primer is supposed to blur imperfections, smooth out pores and colour corrects. For me I didn't see any of those benefits on my skin.

After 30 days this is supposed to combat UV damage, photo-aging and improve the complexion, I will carry on using this but tbh I don't know how I will be able to tell if this combats any of that except the appearance of my complexion.

The packaging is quite bulky and plastic which makes it feel pretty cheap in my eyes. Not very impressed with this product.

Ooh is a new brand to me and I have to say, so far I am impressed.

This is argan oil for the face and is enriched with vitamin E, fatty acids like Linoleic acid, Linolenic acid and Oleic acid. I don't actually know what any of those acids are or what they do but I guess it's all the good stuff.

This is a oil but feels more like a serum in consistency. Feels so nice on the skin, sits so well under makeup, sometimes I will just use this with a little bit of primer on top before applying my foundations and it makes application so much smoother.

I haven't seen any difference in my skin other than it looking more luminous but tbh I love that. It makes my skin look healthy and covers dry areas well.

Although I haven't been impressed with previous boxes I think this box was a good one! My favourites have to be the Nars lip treatment and the bareMinerals eyeshadow pallet.

According to Look Incredible the value of this box is £93.98.

I hope you enjoyed these unboxings and maybe I will continue one day!

Thanks for reading,
