Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Pallet

Okay, firstly can we just take a moment to appreciate how absolutely stunning this pallet is! The packaging and the colours are to die for! Anastasia Beverly Hills never disappoints with sleek looking products!

This is my first ever purchase from ABH and tbh I have no idea where I have been!? Why has it taken me so long to branch out and get my hands on some items, I have surely been missing out.

The pallet is called Modern Renaissance, and it retails for £41 on Cult Beauty and Beauty Bay (which tbh I find quite over priced but this is the price ABH has set for international orders) and includes 11 matte shades and 3 metallics, it also comes with a double ended brush which is perfect for blending out the crease and buffing/smudging out colour on the lower lash line.

The Colours:

Tempera - Velvety beige with an ultra-matte finish
Golden Ochre - Earthy yellow with an ultra-matte finish
Vermeer - Iridescent shell with a metallic finish
Buon Fresco - Antique lavender with an ultra-matte finish
Antique Bronze - Metallic sable with a satin finish
Love Letter - Raspberry with an ultra-matte finish
Cyprus Umber - Dark coffee with an ultra-matte finish
Realgar - Brick with an ultra-matte finish
Warm Taupe - Earthy gray with an ultra-matte finish
Venetian Red - Crimson with an ultra-matte finish
Red Ochre - Sienna with an ultra-matte finish
Primavera - shimmery gold dust with a metallic finish
Burnt Orange - deep orange with an ultra-matte finish
Raw Sienna - neutral amber with an ultra-matte finish

All the colours are sooo pigmented, the slightest touch to the pan and it is full of pigment! Although they are quite powdery in texture and have abit of fall out because of this but that doesn't bother me too much because they are just so beautiful.

This pallet is so versitile, you can create any eye look from a neutral, everyday look (which is what I prefer) to a dramatic smokey eye in the evenings. It has everything you need!

Personally, my absolute favourite shades are Raw Sienna, Golden Ochre, Burnt Orange, Red Ochre and Cyprus Umber..Clearly I love darker more orange toned shades but who doesn't right?!

Below is a photo of an eye look I created which I am obsessed with, I have been wearing it everyday and can't get enough.

Read below on how to achieve this look..

Golden Ochre, Raw Sienna and Burnt Orange layered and blended in the crease. Vermeer on the whole lid and inner corners. Red Ochre and Cyprus Umber packed onto the outer corners and blended out with abit more burnt orange so there is so harsh lines. Cyprus Umber and Burnt Orange lightly applied on the lower lash line and buffed out.

I find this look is so flattering on myself and the orange tones really brings out the blue in my eyes. I am not great at eye makeup, still a lot of practise to be done but this is so quick and easy, anybody can do it!

The lasting power of these shadows is amazing aswell, if you have read my very first post about the Morphe eyeshadow pallets then you will know that I don't use eyeshadow primers and never have..I personally just don't need them. With this pallet, I still don't need any sort of primer to make the colours last longer or make application easier and smoother. Always a bonus!

Usually I only reach for my Morphe 35K pallet but I can see myself reaching for the Modern Renaissance so much more, the pans in the pallet are already looking abit worse for wear it's been used that much.

As I am writing this, the pallet is still available on Cult Beauty and Beauty Bay so go grab yours now! You won't regret it. This is a permanent item so don't worry if you can't get yours now. It will always be available.

Let me know if you got your hands on this and what your thoughts are!
