London Beauty Haul - April 2016

Earlier this month I ventured to my favaourite city, London. I went for 2 days with my dad to see one of his favourite bands, Muse at the O2. Great gig btw! But of course I can't go to London and not do abit of shopping. I set myself a spending limit which surprisingly I stuck too, not something that happens often. But saying that I did plan out everything I was hoping to get so I was fully prepared.

First I went to Selfridges, which I could of spent a fortune in! Then Debenhams and finally Lush on Oxford Street.

I wanted to get most things in Selfridges, inlcuding some more NYX proucts and some Zoeva makeup brushes but they had very little on display so didn't manage to pick anything up..BOO! But I did pick up a Beauty Blender which I have been wanting to try for some time now, I have used it a few times so far and I am undecided.

I picked up the original pink Beauty Blender but they do have other colours available. For ages I have been using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge which I love but I have been wanting to get the BB as a comparison.

I was surprised of the size of the sponge when I first got it, even when damp it was still smaller than the RT one. I expected it to be abit larger. It does blend out foundation and concealer nicely and doesn't soak up as much product compared to the Real Techniques one which is a plus point but overall I don't see what all the hype is about. The Real Techniques sponge does pretty much the same thing and its a fraction of the price.

Next I went to Debenhams just for the Make Up For Ever counter. I picked up the Ultra HD foundation after hearing so many good reviews and also the smoothing primer.

I have seen so many people rave about these primers so I wanted to see for myself how good they are. MUFE offer a huge range of different primers for different problems..hydration, pores, radiance and more. I struggle with pores and texture so i opted for the smoothing one.

I chose to get the travel size one to start with incase I didn't like it. But I will be purchasing the full size as soon as this one is finished. It is one of the best primers I have ever used, I was shocked to find myself loving this so much.

It really does blur out pores and any fine lines and allows makeup to glide on top easily with its thin but matte consistancy. I have noticed my makeup lasting alot longer and has been controlling my oily skin really well aswell. Such a rare thing to find with me and primers.

Another MUFE item that I have heard so many great reviews about is the Ultra HD foundation. I really struggle to find foundations that is a good colour match for me and provides the right amount of coverage without looking heavy on the skin. And finally I think I have found the one!

The Ultra HD range comes in 40 different shades which cater for both red and yellow undertones! I am the second slightest shade for yellow tones which is Y215 yellow alabaster. Finally I have found a foundation that is the perfect match for my skin tone!

This foundation provides medium coverage but is builadble and looks quite natural on the skin while giving a soft glow. Not something I like because my oily skin but works very well despite that. This is the only foundation that lasts hours on my skin without breaking up or becoming patchy throughout the day, espeically after work. I do need to touch up with a matte powder throughout the day but that is just because I have really oily skin.

This foundation is perfect for high definition technology like the name suggests by giving you a flawless finish in photographs and film. Which I totally agree with, it doesn't give you a white cast in flash photography either.

While in Debenhams I decided to pick up a eyeshadow pallet from Urban Decay..I am pretty sure you all know about it..

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Pallet £38.50

I am sure you all know about the naked pallets and how great they are so I won't blab on about them. I picked up the original pallet because I love the warmer shadows way more than the darker or rosey colours that the other pallets have to offer. I will get way much more use out of the original pallet than the others.

They are super pigmented, buttery and blendable. You can create so many different looks with this pallet, whether it is a dramatic smokey eye or a subtle natural look. The Urban Decay pallets are a must have in any collection!

Before we left to come home, I had to go to Lush Oxford Street.
I just can't go to London without splurging in there. Although it is very stressful and busy I managed to pick up some of my favs that I have ran out of and also some Oxford Street exclusives aswell!

I did buy quite alot of bath bombs and bubble bars so I won't be talking about them in this post. I will be doing a seperate Lush Haul post very soon which will include my Oxford Street stash so keep a look out for that!
